3 Fitness Holiday Tips

I don’t know about you, but the next ten days are a time when people can get pretty derailed with their exercise and nutrition.

I’ve definitely been there before. The temptation to sit around, eat forty-seven cookies, and do nothing is REAL!

But just because it’s the holiday season, doesn’t mean you need to back track on your progress.

Here are three quick tips that I find helpful for keeping me on track.

1. Move your body early in the day. It doesn’t have to be much, but I’ve noticed getting out for a walk, doing a little flexibility work, or getting a quick lift early on in the day seems to create a positive mindset shift. This shift helps set the course for the rest of the day.

2. Load up on the veggies first...and THEN enjoy all the cookies, treats, fun meals, and celebrations.

3. Let go of judgment. If you don’t eat as clean or exercise as much as you want to, let it go. Whether or not you stick to the plan, there’s no sense in feeling bad.

Above all else, enjoy the time with family and loved ones.
