Wellness Wednesday - 'Tis The Season...

Today's post is staying with the trend of how to combat that holiday stress. The holidays are one of the most stressful times of the year and they really shouldn't be. 


In the song “Let it Snow”, this lyric shows that staying warm and relaxed is vital during this season, “When the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful”. Close your eyes and create an image for those words, how nice does it feel?

Here are a few tips to make this holiday season enjoyable and joyous:

-Make sure you are staying hydrated, try some coconut water or even smart water for an electrolyte boost.

-Don’t let the chaos of the holidays ruin your workout regimen, even if you can get in a 5-10 minute workout in your living room can help boost your metabolism.

- If you are feeling overwhelmed try and sit in your car and do some deep breathing. Envision that stress leaving your body with every exhale.

- Make sure to look at the weather when you wake up so you can plan your wardrobe and accessorize accordingly.

-The holidays are filled with parties and gatherings, which means there will be lots of goodies, make sure to fill your plate with at least ⅔fruits, and veggies to get you satiated before you indulge in those sweets and drinks!
